“Cheongdam-dong Alice” – Park Si Hoo says tearfully to Moon Geun Young: ”I love you”
Park Si Hoo confesses his love for Moon Geun Young and succeeds in turning her around.
In Episode 9 of “Cheongdam-dong Alice” broadcast on January 5, Cha Seung Jo – CSJ (Park Si Hoo) tries to change Han Se Kyung’s – HSK (Moon Geun Young) mind by confessing his love.
Tommy Hong (Kim Ji Suk) is arranging the marriage of two chaebol families, and he is trying to coerce HSK to leave CSJ by proposing to sponsor her to study in France. So HSK tells CSJ they cannot be together.
When CSJ finally locates HSK, he tells her: “Today I was going to profess my love for Miss Se Kyung. I was going to show a video and recite some classic lines ….. But that is not the real me. I am a coward. I am afraid the person I love will abandon me and leave me. When I was small, my mother let go of my hand and left; long ago my lover suddenly packed up and deserted me … I still have nightmares about these scenes. At times like these I would turn on the lights because I am afraid. I am not the CEO, and I am not a Prince; I am just a man who loves Miss Se Kyung. So please don’t abandon me; don’t leave me; let me be with Miss Se Kyung.”
HSK replies: “Give me an hour, please?” and she rushes off to see Tommy Hong to tell him she is voiding their contract because she has determined to continue to love CSJ.
The love line of CSJ and HSK is developing and the coming episodes should bring more dramatic development.

“Cheongdamdong Alice” Episode 9 Review: Cha Seung-jo visits Han Se-kyung’s parents and drinks too much
In the 9th episode of SBS’s “Cheongdamdong Alice” that aired on January 5, Cha Seung-jo (played by Park Si Hoo) drinks with Han Se-kyung’s (played by Moon Geun Young)parents in order to get approval from them.
Chae Sung Jo drinks with Se-kyung’s father, confessing he loves her with all his heart. Seeing what’s happening when she gets back home, Se-kyung puts on a blank look. Her friend, Choi Ah-jung says, “He’s been doing that since he got approval from your parents after he broke up with you. Isn’t it funny?” She laughs hard while Se-kyung stands speechless.
Heavily drunken, Seung-jo says, “Hi, did you say you feel distanced from me? Father, do you feel distanced from me? See? I’m really close to him, and we have this in common; the favorite song of both of us is ‘My Way.’ You know nothing about it.” Panicked, Se-kyung says nothing and goes into her room.

P.S. We just read in another news report that PSH actually drank 2 shots of soju before acting in this scene (his limit is 3 when he will pass out.) So he’s actually a little drunk here. You can see his face and neck are red and his speech slurs. He’s sacrificing his image for the sake of realistic portrayal.

Park Si Hoo, Moon Geun Young fall in love and ratings soar
The SBS weekend drama “Cheongdam-dong Alice” has reached its highest ratings so far.
According to statistics released by ratings research agency AGB Nielsen, Episode 9 broadcast on January 5 had a nationwide viewership of 15.2%, an increase of 4.3% over the last week. This is the highest viewership record since the premiere of this drama.
The ratings soar due to the developing love of the protagonists Han Se Kyung – HSK (Moon Geun Young) and Cha Seung Jo – CSJ (Park Si Hoo) in this episode. HSK still pretends she does not know CSJ is really the Artemis CEO and CSJ thinks she is not targeting him for his position and privileged background. Amidst such complex mental confusion between true and false, they fall in love.
Tommy Hong knows the real purpose of HSK, and, in order to facilitate the marriage between two chaebal houses, he encourages HSK to leave CSJ to further her studies in Paris, enhancing the sense of tension.
CDDA gains in viewership due to the ending of the popular MBC drama “May Queen”, and it remains to be seen whether it can maintain its momentum.

In ”Cheongdam-dong Alice” Park Si Hoo begins his offensive to positively win Moon Geun Young’s love.
In Episode 9 of the SBS weekend drama “Cheongdam-dong Alice” broadcast on January 5, Cha Seung Jo – CSJ (played by Park Si Hoo) becomes more proactive after being rejected by Han Se Kyung – HSK (played by Moon Geun Young) after he confessed.
CSJ tells HSK frankly that he is really the CEO of Artemis Korea and confesses: “I like you”, honestly facing up to his own feelings. HSK, however, says: “I’m very confused. CEO and I are just too distant,” deliberately distancing herself from CSJ.
After his rejection by HSK, CSJ goes to her home, confesses his feelings for HSK, and asks her family to help him. And then he continues with his fierce pursuit of HSK.
When CSJ sees HSK just doing her own thing and ignoring him, he sends her a SMS: “Turn around.” When she turns her head, she inadvertently collides with CSJ who is hovering over her and their lips touch.

“Cheongdamdong Alice” Episode 9 Review: Cha Seung-jo visits Han Se-kyung’s parents and drinks too much
In the 9th episode of SBS’s “Cheongdamdong Alice” that aired on January 5, Cha Seung-jo (played by Park Si Hoo) drinks with Han Se-kyung’s (played by Moon Geun Young)parents in order to get approval from them.
Chae Sung Jo drinks with Se-kyung’s father, confessing he loves her with all his heart. Seeing what’s happening when she gets back home, Se-kyung puts on a blank look. Her friend, Choi Ah-jung says, “He’s been doing that since he got approval from your parents after he broke up with you. Isn’t it funny?” She laughs hard while Se-kyung stands speechless.
Heavily drunken, Seung-jo says, “Hi, did you say you feel distanced from me? Father, do you feel distanced from me? See? I’m really close to him, and we have this in common; the favorite song of both of us is ‘My Way.’ You know nothing about it.” Panicked, Se-kyung says nothing and goes into her room.

P.S. We just read in another news report that PSH actually drank 2 shots of soju before acting in this scene (his limit is 3 when he will pass out.) So he’s actually a little drunk here. You can see his face and neck are red and his speech slurs. He’s sacrificing his image for the sake of realistic portrayal.
